To provide effective support services to the partners and fee-earners in the industrial Disease department
HOURS: 35 Responsibilities/Duties
• Type work as dictated or requested by any partner or fee earner.
• Assist in the personal organisation of fee earners through the operation of a diary management system, arranging meetings, travel and accommodation arrangements, filing of papers etc. Organisation of internal meetings and dealing with confidential information
• Production of long documents using track changes and automatic numbering, automatic cross-referencing and production of laser forms and typing of correspondence and extensive use of Outlook.
• Assist in communications with clients through relaying telephone messages both incoming and outgoing and providing any assistance which is possible.
• Ensure that all administration such as file opening and closing, cheque requisitions and payments to the Accounts Department and the issue of bills on behalf of fee earners to clients is carried out as per internal procedures.
• Ensure the positive representation of the Firm in all dealings with clients and others.
• Undertake any other work for which training has been given as may be required to achieve the Firm’s objectives, in line with the Partners and Fee Earners.
• Provide secretarial cover for other secretarial staff within the department as and when required.
