You will deal with day-to-day office work such as answering telephone calls, maintaining administrative systems, managing diaries and making travel arrangements.

Your work as an Administrative Assistant is diverse. One of your primary roles would normally be to respond promptly to all telephone enquiries on a day-to-day basis. Other duties could include dealing with incoming/outgoing post, reception duties, typing, stationery ordering, database maintenance and update, data entry, faxing, photocopying, filing and other varied office tasks. Some travel arrangements might need to be made for colleagues covering itineraries, flight reservations, car hire and accommodation. There could also be occasions where you will book delegates for training events and seminars.
Your function would include updating information using computerised or manual systems.
Other clerical work required would include filing and retrieving information and documents, faxing and photocopying, sorting and distributing post, taking care of petty cash and general support to office members.
