As an Audit Manager you would need to be an experienced, high-calibre Accountant or Auditor capable of examining the accounting records and practices of a business or other organisation. In addition to the examination of Accounting records you would be required to prepare Accountant’s Reports, mentor the Audit Senior and oversee the work of Junior Auditors in your team. In your role you would be expected to work to tight budgets and your performance would be monitored against these budgets.
Audit Manager Functions Include
As an Audit Manager you would be expected to plan, execute and finalise Audit Projects, working directly with the client. You would need to display rigorous project and financial management on all accounting work, control budgets and prepare reporting timetables. You will need to produce work for the Audit Director.
Primarily your work is aimed at providing an efficient and proactive service to your clients to ensure that their needs are fully met. As an Audit Manager you will have day-to-day contact with all members of the Audit team. You must have the ability to develop strong working relationships with the members of your team. You will also be required to supervise more junior staff both in the office and while on-site at client premises, including review of their work to ensure that professional standards are met.
