Marketing Executive Job Description

As a Marketing Executive you would work within the Marketing Department to promote your employer's products or services, or raise people's awareness of a message.  In order to achieve this objective you would use methods including TV, radio and press advertising, Direct Mail, and corporate sponsorship of events.

Your Functions May include


As a Marketing Executive your day-to-day functions will include researching the market, consumer attitudes and competitors in order to conceptualise ideas for marketing campaigns with the Advertising or Promotions Agency

You will also be responsible for writing briefs to the Agency to produce posters, flyers and brochures and arrange for advertisements to go into newspapers, magazines, the trade press, TV or radio.   In order to do this you will be in constant contact with Suppliers, Agencies and the Media.

You may be required to write and distribute press releases and mailshots, arrange sponsorships and organise and attend events and exhibitions.

You will be responsible to make sure that a campaign runs smoothly.  Certain administrative tasks are required in your role such as the reporting on the campaign’s progress to the Marketing Manager; and the maintaining of a database of customers.
