A New Business Executive is responsible for proactively generating new business opportunities and managing new business referrals. Whilst an ability to service your clients on an ongoing basis is crucial, your primary focus will be to target potential or unexplored opportunities and close the resulting deals.

You would often specialise within a particular industry such as pharmaceuticals, consumer goods or engineering components. Depending on your product market, your customers might be wholesalers, shops, businesses, manufacturers or individuals within a specific geographical area.

Your Functions May include

Your primary focus will be to identify opportunities and implement strategies to penetrate markets. To achieve this successfully your functions will include:

• extensive cold calling
• market analysis
• developing presentations
• telephone prospecting
• securing appointments with potential clients
• negotiating sales prices, contracts and payments
