A client that has achieved Outstanding throughout Ofsted Inspections, on both of their homes is now looking to open a new home. They are seeking a Manager to work with young people who have extremely challenging behaviour and lead a team of carers who take on the daily running of the unit. The children come from a variety of difficult backgrounds and the home are looking to recruit emotionally strong people who have a genuine passion to work with and help their young residents. Candidates need to have experience of supporting young people with challenging behaviour and this can include people who have worked with children with autism/learning disabilities/mental health issues who also display challenging behaviour. This challenging role will sometimes require you to put all of your natural awareness to one side as the young people won’t always necessarily engage with you. Candidates need to enjoy being with young people, be pro-active, be strong to verbal abuse and be able to think on their feet with a flexible approach. You also need to have experience of running shifts and the ability to be clear and approachable with staff. Team Leaders need to be able to see the potential in and any problems with their team members, providing solutions to issues as and when they arrive. Applicants need to be car drivers and be able to work a combination of early and late shifts. The rota also includes working weekends
You will also receive regular supervision.
You will be required to obtain an Enhanced CRB Disclosure and follow Safeguarding Policy and Practice.
