agriculture jobs could be bolstered by a new rural fund that the government is using to pump £105 million into regions in order to create new roles and improve quality of life.
The Commission for Rural Communities is spearheading the project and will distribute it between Local Action Groups (LAGs) as part of the government's Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE).
Rebecca Frost, the programme manager for the RDPE network, said: "Through small capital grants, strategic investment funding and action plans, the programme will aim to safeguard and enhance the countryside, helping communities to thrive in the process."
She added that the funding will help to ensure that LAGs get the proper support they need to help bring their communities out of recession.
Agriculture jobs were recently secured at the Denbighshire creamery after a buyer came forward to save the milk plant for an undisclosed sum.
