IT jobs in the UK may find it easier to get a position after one firm reported a rise in demand for the sector.
CV Screen noted a 23 per cent increase in demand for IT professionals in the third quarter of this year.
The organisation also saw a 25 per cent drop in the number of people applying for these positions, meaning those looking for jobs may find it easier to get work.
Matthew Iveson, from CV Screen, said: "We are now seeing confidence returning to the IT jobs market. Many IT professionals who had put their career aspirations on hold due to the economic climate are now beginning to test the water."
Computing giant Microsoft has also predicted that more than 80,000 UK
IT jobs will be created as new firms start up.
The organisation said that the spend on IT will lead to the formation of nearly 2,500 new businesses and 78,200 positions before 2013.
