Kent jobs will soon be created through a project to transform the region into a 21st century county.
Kent County Council (KCC) has recently requested a report to outline the specific plans and benefits for the entire transformation scheme which will take place over the next 30 years.
The report was put together by Sir Terry Farrell and focuses on the benefits a high speed rail will have.
As a result of the report, new strategies will be implemented to deal with old challenges.
Over the next three decades KCC plans to improve elements like business sectors, skills, integrated transport, environment and housing.
According to Kent Online, the reason for the drastic regeneration is the fact that Kent has masses of potential and is seen as a “super region” and the UK’s “front door”.
Sir Terry Farrell commented: “Forged over time, we need to work together to make the most of Kent’s assets – its many very special places and its wonderful landscapes – to ensure that future investment and growth is of the highest possible quality with maximum benefit to the people and communities of Kent.
“Successful partnership will capitalise on Kent’s potential as a place – 21st Century Kent will be brought to fruition by the energy, enthusiasm and creativity embodied within tens of thousands – or perhaps hundreds of thousands – of different projects and initiatives realised at local level in the pursuit of one shared vision.”
UK jobs in Kent will boom when strategies are implemented.
