Jobs in Wales have been boosted following the announcement that a new cash injection will create 220 roles in the country.
Over £1.4 million from the Future Jobs Fund will be used to help long-term unemployed young people and others who face significant disadvantage in the labour market and was welcomed by Wales first minister Rhodri Morgan.
He said the injection will create at least 30 jobs in the next six months, with positions in Powys, Glamorgan and Pembrokeshire all set to benefit.
"There can be little doubt that we still face challenging economic times but we're working hard through pioneering schemes like trying to keep young people engaged in the labour market ready for when the upturn inevitably comes," Mr Morgan explained.
The Future Jobs Fund recently boosted jobs in the West Midlands, when it was announced that a multi-million pound investment will create over 300 roles in the region.
