People looking for
catering and hospitality jobs in Northumberland have been given a boost by the news that the owner of a prestigious hotel in the area is committed to finding local staff and sourcing produce from the nearby area, according to one newspaper.
The Northumberland Gazette reported on the multi-million pound takeover of the Doxford Hall Hotel by Robert and Gina Parker, as former owner Brian Burnie told the newspaper he is optimistic about the future of the establishment.
"After 17 years, this is an important milestone for me and my family and of course we will be sad to leave. However, I am reassured that Robert and Gina will continue to operate Doxford Hall to the same high standards as ourselves," he stated.
There was more good news for people looking for hotel jobs in England when accountancy firm PKF published a report stating that establishments in the country are more likely to do well this summer than their Scottish counterparts.
