Women looking for
Northern Ireland jobs will soon be able to find help and support online after a new scheme is launched later this week.
The website Womenintobusinessni.com will be a portal where women who want to enter or return to work through employment or self-employment can find assistance.
Christine Doyle, chair of Women in Business in Northern Ireland, said: "Government statistics show that there are around 680,000 majority women-owned businesses in the UK, generating £45 billion to the UK economy. Yet, of the 4.7 million UK enterprises, only 15 per cent of them are led by women."
The chair added that getting more women to get back into employment or create new businesses can only be a good thing for Northern Ireland's economy.
Around 200
customer service jobs have recently been created in Northern Ireland after Sainsbury's announced it wanted to provide support for people buying non-food items online.
