A business centre, which will place academics next to entrepreneurs in a working environment, is set to create hundreds of
UK jobs, according to one publication.
The Yorkshire Post reported on the Catalyst centre, which will be based on the University of York campus and is due to open in November creating jobs and space for entrepreneurs to develop their ideas.
Rod Anson, Fera's head of corporate development, told the newspaper that there will be lots of opportunities created at the site.
"We want to get a range of six or seven commercial enterprises which are in a high-growth phase to come on the site. We are creating opportunities for the creation of 100 jobs up to 2014," he said.
In nearby Leeds, the Trinity scheme is set to bring new restaurants and
UK jobs to the city centre, according to the Yorkshire Post, which reported that big-name chains like Carluccio's have been attracted to the plans.
